At The Playr Project, one of our key pillars is creating opportunity. For young girls to be given a platform and space of their own to thrive and develop is vital to keeping more girls in sport. We believe in providing opportunity for all girls of any age to start football for the first time or to continue their development.
Connecting with our local community as well as developing connections with underfunded communties is a key aspect of what we want to achieve. Delving into areas that lack resources, The Playr Project aims to be a outlet for girls with a passion to play football.
Whilst we have full confidence in developing our young athletes on the pitch, we also understand the power of what happens off the pitch. Equipping our athletes with key learnings in areas such as mental health and the menstrual cycle, we understand the impact this can have on our development.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather across Australia. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to land, sea and community.
